First The Placebo ARock Tickets Story: I really wanted to win tickets to one of Placebo’s recent ARock shows in Europe. So because I’m really into visualization and creating my destiny, I visualized myself winning tickets and set my intention to win—and then I won!!! I won tickets to the show in Rome!!!

So I spent the next few days looking for someone as crazy as me willing to go at the spur of the moment to Rome (I live in the US). I researched accommodations and tried to get everything settled. While everything could have worked out fine, some obligations came up out of nowhere leading me to think it wouldn’t be the best time to skip on out of town.  </3

It was an *extremely* difficult decision to make, because I wanted to go so bad and was acutely aware of the irony here. It seemed like a divine moment, some kind of test. My intuition told me there were too many things that could go wrong if I left at this time. So I made the choice to give the tickets away. It was a huge lesson in detachment.

Here is a picture of my friend Antonio with Placebo’s drummer Steve Forrest (you can also see part of my friend Chiara in there too!).  The person who went in my place met Steve Forrest and caught his drumstick!!! *lucky lucky vibes*

Of course, at first I was very jealous, but now I see this as a good omen—that the energy that came towards me in the form of the tickets was passed on to Antonio and his awesome experience!

Here is the original post I wrote, trying to make sense of all this:

Have you ever called in an amazing opportunity and then experienced disappointment in how it turned out?

I’m sure that’s happened to all of us at one point or another. You set your intention to receive something you’ve been wanting (whether you’re formally setting it or not—it all starts with a thought), you finally receive it, and then things don’t go as planned. Obstacles come up.

Well that definitely happened to me this week.

And it got me asking all those questions like, “Why would I receive this in the first place if it wasn’t going to work out???”

So I decided to make a video about my experience and share 3 insights that ultimately helped me deal with my disappointment.

Oh and by the way, I say in this video “There are an infinite amount of stars in the Universe”—I know that’s not technically true, but you know what I mean, right?

This is my first video blog ever, so I’m still experimenting with this and would love your feedback!

Would you rather see videos or articles in this newsletter and on my blog?

Leave a comment below with your preference or send a reply to this email to let me know.  It would really, really be a BIG help to know what you prefer :)

Also, leave a comment below if you can relate to my situation or have any other insights to share.

Much love,

Christina

  2. This was SOO helpful. I’ve been looking for something to explain why I am able to manifest things/situations I desire but then feel really dissapointed when the situation doesn’t completly work out (like I think it should). I like the blog/vlog combo and actually took notes! Thanks again!!

    • Thank you Dayna–I’m so glad this was helpful! It really was such a learning experience for me, and I’m happy to say that I finally was able to see my favorite band (still Placebo) in concert just a few months ago. It worked out perfectly in so many ways–like the Universe was just telling me to wait a little bit ;)

  3. What a great way to turn a disappointment of not going to the concert into a perfectly designed opportunity for someone close to you. I love it!

  4. Great story and insight Christina. This was very meaningful and I was able to relate to your desapointment and then see how helpful it was to ponder on the whole situation. I’m so glad you were able to give the tickets to your friends! I love videos because first of all you are great at making them and second, because it’s a nice break from reading so much on other blogs…(not that i don’t enjoy reading)…I would like to continue to see vodeos on your blog ;) ~ Nathalie

  5. I might be in the minority, but, I prefer articles to vlogs. But, I’m a writer, so consider this opinion biased.

I love it when all things happen for a reason and you can see how things turned exactly they way they were supposed to. The universe sometimes in speaks in mysterious way, but it does speak often!

    • Hi Kimba,

Thank you for letting me know your preference! It’s great to know there are some people that still prefer articles. Over the past year since I’ve made this video, I’m learning that I enjoy doing both depending on the particular message.

And yes, I love getting these “winks from the Universe” knowing that things have turned out for the best, or at least that’s okay how they turned out.

  7. Dear Christina,

What a beautiful story and video blog. I hope you have been doing lots more videos as this one feels really good! A great lesson to be learned not to be jealous of others fortune but to share in that celebratory energy with them, and remember that we help others to create that yeay!

    • Hi Jenny,

Thank you for that perspective and your feedback! I have done so many more videos since this one–I can’t believe it’s been a year, and this is where I started :)

  8. It is sometimes very hard to “believe” that you will have something happen if you believe enough. I am so sorry you could not go but I also believe in those gut feelings or divine feelings of not to do something. I apologize I could not watch the video (having problems in that area today.)

    • Hi Monna,

That’s okay! Thank you for saying that–I think it was the right thing to do, and it’s all good :) I can look back and laugh now!

  10. Thank you for this videoblog, Christina. I’ve been following your business for quite some time, but it was not until this videoblog that I truly internalized why I’ve been relating to you so extremely. It’s interesting this predicament you described here, as I, too, attempted to win the Placebo tickets. I visualized myself winning them, and when I did not win them, I feel that I manifested from a place of scarcity. And then I saw that you did indeed win them, but were unable to attend, and yet you connected to this on a deeper level and were able to manifest from a place of abundance. I never imagined that such a feat would be possible for me, but I have been able to manifest from a place of abundance as a result of this failed opportunity because of you – and I did not even win the tickets! I cannot encourage you to continue these kinds of videoblogs more. This videoblog has saved me from the year-long depression I was about to encounter as a result of not winning the tickets to the Placebo concert. By the end of your videoblog, I was not even upset that you gave them to someone in Rome instead of me because I had learned to manifest from a place of abundance. Thank you. THANK YOU.

    • Hi Lydia! Wow that is amazing!!! I am truly blown away that even one other person can relate to this experience of wanting to manifest tickets to *this specific concert*! I’m so glad that this has been relatable. I figured a lot of people would be able to relate to the idea in general, but I never imagined it could be helpful so specifically! This has completely made my day, because it has been so important for me to find meaning in having this experience.

There’s actually more I want to share about this that I haven’t even included here yet. The guy (Antonio) that I gave the tickets to ended up in the second row, caught Steve Forrest’s drumstick, and later had it signed and posed for a picture with him!!! My initial reaction was to be jealous, of course, but now it just makes me feel really good inside to know I passed on some energy that brought someone such an amazing experience. It’s like the Universe is telling me it’s okay, the way it worked out. I will be adding the picture he took with Steve here soon :)

There are so many synchronicities surrounding winning these tickets, I really feel like there’s something to this, even though I don’t completely understand what that is. I believe that these situations reveal some kind of underlying order and connectivity that can’t be seen as clearly in the reality we observe, except through these strange situations. So thank you 1000X for sharing!!! :)

I’d say keep doing them…you have great energy and enthusiasm, and they carry your message well. I like the combination of text with a few summary points accompanied by the embedded video.
